Red Bull The college drink |
When you think of Red Bull a picture of Britney Spears or Demi Moore may pop into your head. Or you may even think about the Red Bull and vodkadrinks that you had too many of last Saturday night. Whatever the image may be, it has become known that Red Bull is in fact much more than a drink to keep our celebrities going or for just the night owls and party animals; Red Bull today is used by millions of college students all around the world. Many college students are making the switch from their usual Starbucks coffee beverage to either Red Bull or Red Bull Sugar Free. Students are making the switch primarily due to costs. A can of Red Bull costs about $1.99, where as a typical coffee concoction can cost anywhere from $3.00 to $5.00 dollars. Many students also enjoy living without that terrible coffee breath; that definitely doesn't help impress that cute guy or girl their sitting next to in class. In terms of caffeine, Red Bull often has higher levels than your normal coffee beverage. The caffeine in one can of Red Bull equals that of one cup of filtered coffee. Red Bull even tries to market this concept to exam-anxious students by suggesting they have a Red Bull before a test or exam to help with concentration instead of the receiving the jitters that coffee can bring you. So why follow the crowd and make the switch? Well according to Red Bull's website “Red Bull Energy Drink is a functional beverage... It has been specially developed for times of increased mental and physical exertion. In addition, Red Bull vitalizes the body and mind. Red Bull's effects are appreciated throughout the world by top athletes, busy professionals and active students .”Still need convincing? Check out Red Bull's website for more information.
